Take a look what you've started,In the world flashing from your eyes, And you know that you've got it,From the thunder you feel inside, I believe in a feeling,Of the pain that you left to die, I believe in the livin' In life that you give to try

Don`t you worry child
Swedish House Mafia
There was a time, i used to look into my father's eyes
In a happy home, i was a king i had a gold throne
Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall
I hear the songs from the places where i was born
Up on the hill across the blue lake,
Thats where i had my first heart break
I still remember how it all changed
My father said
Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
See heaven's got a plan for you
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
There was a time, i met a girl of a different kind
We ruled the world,
Thought i'll never lose her out of sight, we were so young
I think of her now and then
Still hear the song reminding me of when
Up on the hill across the blue lake,
Thats where i had my first heart break
I still remember how it all changed
My father said
Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See heaven's got a plan for you

Wake
I'm wide awake
Not losing any sleep
I picked up every piece
And landed on my feet
I'm wide awake
Need nothing to complete myself
I'm wide awake
Yeah, I am born again
Outta the lion's den
I don't have to pretend
And it's too late
The story's over now, the end
I wish I knew then
What I know now
Wouldn't dive in
Wouldn't bow down
Gravity hurts
You made it so sweet
Till I woke up on
On the concrete
Not losing any sleep
I picked up every piece

Bond, Bella and Bilbo headline our Holiday Movie Preview
By Emma Badame
As 2012 draws to a close, there's a natural tendency to reflect on the year
that's past but if you're prone to doing that when it comes to movies, we'd
advise you to wait a bit. With The Hobbit, Skyfall,
Breaking Dawn, Pt. 2 and more still to come, we're willing to bet
you've yet to see one or two that could give your top flick of the year a run
for its money.
The cinematic holiday season starts off not with a bang but with a nostalgic
8-bit melody, thanks to Rich Moore's animated love letter to
gaming, Wreck-It Ralph. The bang follows shortly after as 007's latest
adventure starring Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Javier
Bardem arrives in theatre. It wraps up with Quentin
Tarantino's latest, Django Unchained, on December 25. And that
doesn't even begin to cover what hits in between!

Toronto !!!!!
Finalmente cheguei em Toronto!!!!! Novo comeco, novas oportunidades, cidade diferente - bem diferente - as experiencias serao novas.

Here I go

Happy Teacher`s Day - Feliz Dia dos Professores
Some of us know that…
…Integral Calculus determines a quantity between two particular moments…
… Brazil was given to Portugal as part of the Treaty of Tordesillas in 1494…
… Unlike many substances, water expands as it freezes. An ice cube takes up about 9% more volume than the water used to make it…
… The longest river in the world (6,825 kilometers or 4,237 miles) is the Nile, in Africa...
…The femur (thigh bone) is the largest and longest bone in the human body…
…The Present Continuous is mainly used to express the idea that something is happening at the moment of speaking…
But everybody knows that…
…teachers make it possible for us to become what we are.

Listen up
Listen here, girls
Take this advice, and remember always in life:
...
Take this advice, and remember always in life:
...
Into each heart some tears must fall
Though you love and lose, you must stand tall
'Cause we all got to cry sometimes
I said, sigh sometimes
Pull yourself together
No use crying forever
Because there's too many fish in the sea
Too many fish in the sea
I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones
Too many fish in the sea
My mother once told me something
And every word is true
Don't waste your time on a fella
Who doesn't love you
He'll only mislead you
Only grieve you
Don't worry about him
Do without him
Because there's too many fish in the sea
Too many fish in the sea
I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones
Too many fish in the sea
Well, if the fish isn't on your line
Bait your hook and keep on trying
Don't let him get you down
There's other boys around
Because there's too many fish in the sea
Too many fish in the sea
I said, there's short ones, tall ones, fine ones, kind ones
Too many fish in the sea
I don't want nobody that don't want me
'Cause there's too many fish in the sea
Ain't gonna love nobody that don't love me, now
'Cause there's too many fish in the sea
I don't need nobody that don't need me

You`re something beautiful
Tell me, who's your angel?
Who's your shoulder
to hold your boulders?
Tell me, when it's raining,
who will warm ya?
Who will hold ya?
You might be broken with
all these cracks in your skin.
You might be broken,
that's where the light gets in.
You're something
beautiful, beautiful,
beautiful
You're something
beautiful, beautiful,
beautiful
And I just want
you to know,
you to know, you to know
That you're not alone,
you're not alone. Oh, oh.
Who's your shoulder
to hold your boulders?
Tell me, when it's raining,

Sombra na Parede
Familia Lima
Enxergar sempre a mesma razão
Liberdade é a felicidade

* Viva simplesmente;
* Aja com generosidade;
* Seja solidário e atencioso;
* Fale com sinceridade;
* Fale com sinceridade;
* Respeite a Vida e as pessoas.

The new invasion: 5 Brits on the brink
By Emma Badame.
Each and every year Hollywood is faced with a new crop of talented actors and actresses looking to be plucked from obscurity via a hit movie or indie gem that could spell their big break. It's a tale as old as time...or as old as the big screen anyway. But you don't have to be an acting ingenue to take Hollywood by storm. Since the Californian dream machine started churning there has been a steady stream of British actors attempting to transform their UK success into a lasting impression on this side of the pond. That international level of success is a daunting task for even the best of actors and few manage to make the leap. But over the past year it's become clear to those paying attention (i.e. Anglophiles and casting agents) that there happen to be several very talented actors on the brink of doing just that.
Check out our list of the 5 UK successes who will soon be familiar enough to North American audiences that IMDB searches will become a thing of the past.
The Leicester-born, LAMDA-trained actor is pretty much an unknown property to audiences outside of Britain, but after starring in numerous well-received UK television productions as a deliciously evil baddie ("Robin Hood"), conflicted spy ("Spooks") or brooding hero to rival even Colin Firth's Darcy ("North & South"), it's clear he's got talent and range to spare. With a co-starring role in last year's Captain America: The First Avenger and his sizable role as Thorin Oakenshield in Peter Jackson's two part Hobbit adaptation (alongside our #3 pick, Martin Freeman) on the horizon, recognition on this side of the pond is likely to change in a hurry.
#4 Eddie Redmayne
The London-born actor and model is certainly no stranger to critical accolades. After all, the 30-year-old Redmayne already has an Olivier Award, Tony Award and Critics Circle Award under his belt. Mainstream big and small screen success has been a tad more elusive but that looks to be changing in a big way. Thanks to a stand-out performance alongside Michelle Williams in My Week With Marilyn, a memorable turn in the "Pillars of the Earth" mini-series and a co-starring role as Marius in Tom Hooper's highly anticipated big-screen adaptation of Les Misérables, it's only a matter of time until Redmayne becomes a household name.
Though familiar to Anglophiles across our fine nation for his fantastic work in the original "Office", the BBC's "Sherlock" (which nabbed him a Best Supporting Actor BAFTA last year), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Love, Actually, there is still a disappointingly large number of people who would see Martin's name and shake their head while saying "I think you mean Morgan Freeman." Well, that's all about to change come a little 'indie' film called The Hobbit.
Freeman is tackling the titular role in Peter Jackson's epic two-part adventure and it's a safe bet that once international audiences get a load of the talented thesp in his role of Bilbo Baggins come December 14, the Freeman name confusion will be a thing of the past.
As the charismatic arch-villain Loki in Marvel's wildly successful Avengers, the 31-year-old London native managed the not-inconsiderable task of stealing scenes from a laundry list of A-list actors including Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson. It's just the latest in a line of recent big-screen triumphs for the RADA-trained actor. Since his major-film debut in 2010's Thor, he's gone on to wow critics with performances in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, Spielberg's War Horse, and as the damaged Freddie Page in an adaptation of Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea. But it's his second foray as the mischievous god that's pushed the talented thesp (who's also a dab-hand at impressions - his Owen Wilson is insane) to make the leap from critical darling to fan favourite (see the masses of Tumblrs and GIFs dedicated to the actor just for a start).
Up next for Hiddleston is a starring role in Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive.
#1 Benedict Cumberbatch
The 35-year-old British actor has been impressing critics and audiences in the UK for almost a decade with roles on both the stage and small screen. But recent days have seen Cumberbatch's star rise far beyond his native land - so much so that he's created what some are (rightly) calling a fully fledged situation here across the pond.
The chameleon-like thesp with the absurdly memorable name appeared in not one but two Oscar-nominated films last year, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and War Horse, while also finding himself cast as the purported big bad in J.J. Abram’s much-anticipated Star Trek sequel. But his brink-of-international-success is truly down to one thing: the BBC's "Sherlock." In his breakthrough role as a modern incarnation of the legendary detective, casting agents and audiences worldwide have been afforded the opportunity to see something exceedingly rare - the perfect marriage of talent and part.
Next up for Cumberbatch: Star Trek 2, 12 Years a Slave, and a third season of "Sherlock."
Do: Cineplex.

Hiddleston replaces Fessbender in Jarmusch`s vamp romance
By Emma Badame
From the broody baddies of Twilight and Underworld, to the popular small screen vamps from "True Blood" and "The Vampire Diaries", there's certainly no shortage of projects to satisfy your hunger for the undead these days. And lest you think you're immune to the thrall of the on-screen bloodsuckers, director Jim Jarmusch recently revealed he’ll be throwing his hat into the genre ring with a new film that may just appeal to a whole new audience. What sets this one apart? It's set to star Tilda Swinton, John Hurt and Mia Wasikowska.
The centuries-old love story between two vamps, currently titled Only Loves Left Alive , is set to start shooting later this year. Originally slated to star our breakout actor of 2011, Michael Fassbender, the romantic leading role is now in the more-than-capable hands of British actor Tom Hiddleston (Thor, War Horse). Though we have to admit we're bummed about not seeing Fassy front and center in this one, we're equally happy to see the talented Hiddleston get a chance to impress alongside the stellar cast. Did we mention Tilda Swinton? We did? Well...it bears repeating.
This one can't hit theatres soon enough for us.
And if it's more vamp action you're after, catch director Amy Heckerling's entry into the genre later this year. Vamps stars Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter as two young, blood-hungry vampire friends living and enjoying the never-ending nightlife in NYC until one of them falls for a mortal. Named Joey Van Helsing (Dan Stevens). The film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Wallace Shawn, Richard Lewis, Malcolm McDowell, Justin Kirk, Zak Orth and Kristen Johnston.

Dark Shadows
Based on the gothic soap opera from the late 1960s, Dark Shadows
earned a cult following. Once again, Burton has teamed up with
Johnny Depp who plays the 18th century vampire
Barnabas Collins. The 200 year-old vampire Barnabas wakes up in in
the early 1970s to find his manor in ruins and his strange descendants occupying
his former estate. It’ll be full of retro gothic fun that Burton
does best, and I for one, can’t wait!
With an amazing cast that features Burton’s real-life leading lady
Helena Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer,
Christopher Lee, Chloe Moretz, and Eva
Green, Dark Shadows is one film that I can't wait to see.
Opening on May 11, the film will tide Burton fans over until
Frankenweenie
hits theatres in October.

Going Pit Bull: How We Can End Prejudice
As I was browsing the news this week, a headline caught my eye: “Romney Takes Pit Bull Approach in Florida.” I looked at Junior and wondered if the journalist meant that Romney was going to become a calm-submissive presence, devoted to the American people. But of course, that was not they meant. They meant that Romney was going to fiercely attack his opponents, or in the journalist’s eyes, act like a pit bull.
Seeing pit bulls being referred to in this manner upset me of course, but didn’t surprise me. If any of the candidates running for office think they have image problems, they have nothing on a pit bull. There has been so much bad information spread about this wonderful breed, it’s no wonder that people get nervous when they see a pit bull on the street—people have been trained to think of these dogs as scary and dangerous.
If you watched Dog Whisperer this week, you saw me visit some of the reformed gang members in South Central Los Angeles, who work for Homeboy Industries. I greatly enjoyed meeting them and working with their dogs, many of whom were pit bulls. Now when people see a big guy, covered in tattoos, walking his pit bull down the street, they respond with fear or anxiety. They’re afraid something bad is going to happen. What they don’t know is that the guy and the pit bull are really sweet and loving and not threatening at all. It’s like I said on the show—a breed is like a suit of clothes, it doesn’t tell you anything about the dog inside.
It’s hard to blame people for being afraid of pit bulls, when all they see on the news are stories about dog fighting rings and people being attacked. They usually leave out that it’s the owner who made the dog violent, not the breed. And the news usually doesn’t report all of the amazing stories of the pit bulls making a difference as service dogs, therapy dogs, and search and rescue dogs. Did you know that Helen Keller’s pet dog was a pit bull? Or that Mary Tyler Moore’s pit bull helps her control her diabetes, by alerting her when he can sense her blood sugar is low? These are the stories that rarely get reported.
I’ve been very blessed to be able to travel the world and appear on television with Daddy and Junior and show the true nature of pit bulls. I say that I rehabilitate dogs and I train people, and I want to help educate people about pit bulls, because ending prejudice begins with education. And it’s not just pit bulls, there are prejudices about every breed. So, here at CesarsWay.com, we want to do more to help educate.
We want to spotlight a different breed every month. In February, we’re going to learn more about pit bulls. All month long, you’ll see stories about pit bulls as pets and working dogs, stories about pit bull heroes, funny and touching pit bull videos, and we’ll explore why pit bulls have such a bad reputation which they don’t deserve.
February is always a sad time for me, as it marks the anniversary of when we lost Daddy. But we hope to honor his memory by building on all the goodwill he created during his life. We hope that you will enjoy the stories and hopefully learn something, and pass them along to friends and family, so everyone will see pit bulls for the great animals they truly are.
Who knows? Maybe the next time you hear about “someone going pit bull” they’ll mean being kind, loving, and protective. I’d vote for that.
Stay calm and assertive,
Cesar

How Did Pit Bulls Get Such a Bad Rap?
By Jon Bastian
Would it surprise you to learn that pit bulls used to be America’s darlings? Before the mid-80s, stories of pit bull attacks are practically non-existent. There is even some confusion over exactly which breed of dog is a pit bull—the definition includes the American pit bull terrier, the Staffordshire terrier and, at times, the bulldog. This confusion seems to have dogged the breed from the beginning, as there is some disagreement over the origin of pit bulls.
Where do pit bulls come from and how did they get such a bad rap?
History of Pit Bulls: Two Possible Histories of Pit Bulls
In one theory, pit bulls began during antiquity as the so-called Molossus, a now-extinct breed that was used by the Greeks as shepherds and guard dogs. In times of war, they marched off to battle with their humans. Eventually, so the theory goes, the Molossus made it to early Britain, where it became known as the Mastiff. In the first century CE, Rome discovered the breed after defeating the Britons, and the dogs spread all over the empire. For the next four hundred years, they were used as war dogs, and intermixed with various local breeds all over the European continent, becoming the forerunners of the modern pit bull.A competing theory places the origin of the pit bull in England at the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066, when butchers would use large, Mastiff-type dogs as “bullenbeissers,” which translates as “bull biter.” Trained to latch onto a bull’s nose and not let go until the animal was subdued, these dogs were the only way that humans could regain control when a bull became agitated.
Unfortunately, this practical if dubious use eventually led to the “sport” of bull-baiting, where dogs were put in a pit with an intentionally riled-up bull and spectators placed bets on which dog would hold on the longest, or bring the bull down. You’ve probably guessed it by now, but this is also the origin of the terms “pit bull dog” and “bulldog.”
Still not a specific breed, the bullenbeissers were bred with Terriers, combining their intelligence with the strength of the Mastiffs. As bull-baiting came to be banned in the 19th century, dog fighting became popular as an underground and quasi-illegal activity in the UK. British immigrants to the U.S. at that time brought dog fighting, as well as their dogs, to the New World. However, as the breed spread to Americans and Americans spread across the continent, pit bulls began to be put to their original use, as general purpose herding and working dogs. Because of their fighting history, though, the American Kennel Club would not recognize the breed until 1936, although they defined it as a Staffordshire terrier, distinct from the American pit bull terrier.
Early Perceptions of Pit Bulls
Far from being considered a killing machine on legs, pit bulls seem to be an American favorite in the early half of the century—indeed, during World War I, the country itself is personified as a pit bull on army recruitment posters, and several pit bulls go on to become famous in the American military. Referring to an athlete as a pit bull is a very common sports metaphor through the 1930s, and it is meant as the highest compliment. There is also a famous racehorse in the late 1930s named pit bull, as well as a number of pit bull stars of early motion pictures. Frequently, pit bulls are associated with children, as in the Our Gang comedies, as well as with Buster Brown, both in short films and as the corporate mascot for a shoe company. The famous RCA Victor image of a dog and a gramophone also featured a pit bull terrier. From the turn of the century until the early 1980s, there is exactly one dog attack story to make the national papers and mention pit bulls, but that’s probably because it involved a man intentionally siccing a pack of 26 dogs on a young woman. According to a 1947 article in The Independent (St. Petersburg, Florida), “Attorneys said they believed it was the first time the state had invoked a statute which would find the owner guilty of manslaughter if it were proven that he permitted vicious animals to run free and they attacked and killed a human being.” There’s no mention of pit bulls as vicious and no call for a ban of the breed, just a human being held responsible for inducing the dogs to attack. Ironically, though, it is in Florida forty years after this incident that the first breed-specific ban is enacted. In the intervening decades, “pit bull” continues to be a popular description for athletes and when the breed does turn up in newspapers, it’s more often than not in a classified ad for puppies.
The only mention during the 1960s that isn’t an ad is a rather amusing bit from gossip columnist Earl Wilson, who reported in his August 22, 1969 column, “Sonny and Cher, who used to scare people, have now been scared by people. ‘Totally horrified’ by the Sharon Tate murder case, they bought a big dog—‘a pit bull terrier’—to protect them and their little daughter Chaste [sic] at their Hollywood Home...” It is at about this time that using large dogs for personal protection becomes popular, but pit bulls are still not singled out as particularly dangerous. In 1971, a new law allows the U.S. Postal Service to bill people for injuries caused to letter carriers by their dogs, but it applies to all dogs, and the general attitude is still one of human responsibility. In a syndicated New York Times story from 1977 on dog bites, opening with the story of a seven year-old boy receiving a very minor injury from a Great Dane, author Jane E. Brody advises, “(S)imple precautions on the part of the dog owners and potential victims could prevent most of these attacks.”
Pit Bull Change in Perception and Ban on Pit Bulls
Less than a decade later, that had all changed and by New Year’s Day 1986, over thirty communities are considering breed specific legislation and ban on pit bulls. What changed? For one thing, despite being illegal in all fifty states, dog fighting made a comeback in the 80s, and the pit bull is the dog of choice. It is also the preferred guard dog for drug dealers and gangs, with a hugely publicized attack in 1987 in which a pit bull guarding a marijuana crop in California mauls and kills a two-and-a-half year-old boy. By the summer of that year, every single proposed ban has become law, but not necessarily with the support of animal professionals. Kent Salazar, head of Albuquerque’s animal control division, commented at the time of their proposed ban on pit bulls that he didn’t think a ban on pit bulls was necessary, saying, “We have all the means to protect people with clauses about vicious dogs.” He also noted that, a few years previously, Doberman pinschers were the target of such bans. His words went unheeded, and Tijeras, New Mexico, just outside of Albuquerque, passes the toughest pit bull ban of the time, allowing animal control officers to seize and destroy them on sight without compensation to the owner. The various pit bull breed bans are decried by animal control officials as “the most concentrated legal assault on a pit bull bans they can recall,” as well as “canine racism.” The Houston Chronicle quotes unnamed officials as placing the blame for the problem squarely on humans. “(M)any of the pit bull attacks are due to a skyrocketing number of poorly bred and badly trained dogs raised by backyard breeders, who are trying to cash in on the pit bull’s growing reputation as a cheap, but deadly effective guard dog, particularly in urban areas.”
Nearly thirty years after the beginning of this anti-pit bull hysteria, the tide seems to be turning a little bit, but every step forward is followed by a step back. Even as Florida is attempting to overturn all breed-specific legislation, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is considering imposing a new ban. Yet it only takes a brief look at the history of pit bulls to realize that the dogs are not the problem; the humans who misuse them are. For over a hundred years, holding the owners personally responsible was enough to prevent attacks, and the breed was perceived as very child-friendly. With outreach and education, it may be possible to restore that image and rehabilitate the pit bull’s reputation, restoring an iconic American dog to its rightful place among mankind’s best friends

Here, there
